When you first go to my website, a pop up appears, requesting your email address. Once or twice a month, I send out a newsletter with jewelry care tips, upcoming events and specials. Will you read it every time? Probably not. But there will be interesting things to check out and deals extended only to subscribers. I did not create a subscriber list during my first 3 years of business because I felt it was an imposition. But several colleagues changed my perspective on this. If someone subscribes, it means they are interested. My own email has multiple newsletters I signed up for and I am glad they are there when I am in a mood to know more about what they cover, even if I don’t open every one. And If I don’t like a newsletter after getting it, I simply unsubscribe. So why shouldn’t I treat my business the same way! Oh imposter syndrome, you are soooo silly!
