The Contemporary Arts Center held a two-day event July 18-19 to celebrate and showcase the works of 2-dozen artists, including ME! Photographers, painters, filmmakers, and other forms of visual artists have their works on display on the bottom floor of the center. Those artists competed with many scores of artists and won grants through ArtsWave to create their works. Funding was made possible by countless contributions from community members. If you are an artist and are looking for funding for a project, visit www.artswave.com to find out about programs they offer.
It was fun and challenging to bring my vision to life. I enjoyed every moment and look forward to future opportunities. Special thanks to the Forest Park Public Library for making their Makers’ Space available to me for the project. They have a state-of-the-art facility, friendly staff, and highly affordable pricing to print banners, engrave, print on clothing and more.
