Electrical Energy Dweomer Rings were invented by an African mage named Agubu Bentatu for an epic battle against Zeus. Zeus was initially fooled into believing that interdimensional enslavers actually came to earth to rid the Earth of an evil threat on the continent of Africa. Knowing the destruction he would deliver to his people, Bentatu challenged Thor to single combat to decide the fate of the war. The ring gave Bentatu the power to capture and reverse Zeus’ lightning. But rather than vanquishing him, Bentatu spared him. That act of grace shed light on the truth and Zeus joined Bentatu to defeat the enslavers.
